When B started to have some bad behavior (nothing like what you are going through) a Doctor had told me about a place that has had great success called the AMEN CLINIC http://www.amenclinics.com/. It was about 5 years ago that I looked in to it but from what I recall it was basically looking at the brain and being able to treat what the problem was vs. Dr's guessingTorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16469486624859667837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6564588470472217357.post-9534660199948655042011-05-01T18:40:56.162-04:002011-05-01T18:40:56.162-04:00You might try a different doctor if she does not s...You might try a different doctor if she does not stablelize soon. It sounds like a mania induced negative state to me and I have seen a lot of them. On the other hand, it is very common for adopted children to get very angry at their adopted parents in adolescence. They blame us for taking them away from their families of origin. It is safe to blame us and we are present. A child at risk. Where other kids could experiment and walk away, she couldn't. That's what I fear for my grandbabies. The insurance covers the kids. they also have a caseworker, and I called for intensive in home. She is calling her supervisor to see if we can do it, probably similar to what Cat (Wait? What) did. If that isn't available, there is another counseling agency who does intensive in home family.<br />Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03699870975776139552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6564588470472217357.post-36632292102657218412011-04-29T20:26:37.157-04:002011-04-29T20:26:37.157-04:00Remember the blogger Cat from Wait, What? A counselor came to their house a couple times a week. It was mandatory that the whole family participate. I recall she said it was a great program. I know for us right now it is about money. If I had money to spare, I would have put us all into therapy separately and together as a family but that is not going to happen anytime soon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6564588470472217357.post-83384215866070121562011-04-29T09:48:23.541-04:002011-04-29T09:48:23.541-04:00Oh Dawn.....my heart breaks for all of you.
